2022 Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

New Year. New Books.
New Adventures.

It’s 2022! I don’t know what this year has in store (the last two years haven’t been that great) but here’s to a great new year full of dreams, passions and hope!

So what are my New Year’s Resolutions?

Well, last year I had wayyyyy too many. It was a recipe for disaster. I ended up overwhelming myself which led to me accomplishing pretty much nothing. I didn’t complete my Goodreads challenge but I still proud of myself for reading 20 books (5 books behind). In 2020. I only read 5 books. So I’m improving. Most importantly I did what I set out to do: fall back in love with reading.

So this year, I’m not making too many commitments.

2022 Resolutions

Read More Books

I’m going to try and read more books this year! There’s just too many good books I’ve gotta get to! I’m a slow reader in general but this time I’m pushing myself to read 50 pages or more a day. Challenging myself to read 30 books this year.

Finish Books I’ve Forgotten

I have a pile of unfinished books I want to complete this year. They weren’t bad reads, I just got into a bad habit of starting books and forgetting them when I didn’t have a chance to read them. I would just start a new one. Well, it’s time to finish them!

Complete a Few Series

I’ve start some really great series over the years but never finished them! Let’s see if I can complete at least 2 book series I’ve enjoyed but only read book one!

Write Something

I’ve always had a passion for writing. But rarely put forth the effort. This year I’m pushing myself to write. Maybe not every single day but every week I want to write some of the lofty scenes always sitting in my head.

Keep Stitching

Last year, I slacked off on my stitching so this year I want to at least finish 2 projects. In fact, there’s a cool Book Stitch Along that incorporates both reading and embroidery. Check them out on Instagram: @bookstitchalong

And if you’ve ever wanted to start embroidery check out Sarah K. Benning also! (Instagram: @sarahkbenning)

Keep Blogging

Some ppl won’t understand this one, but I lose focus really fast. Sometimes it’s unavoidable. Real life comes knocking and I have to stop doing all the things I enjoy.

But I’m going to try my best to keep this blog going, despite life getting in the way. I like writing reviews and hopefully this year I can get some other other bookish content on here too!

So that’s it for now. I guess time will tell how far I get but I have a feeling 2022 is the year I get it done!
